We offer both porcelain crowns and porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, and the best option for you will depend on a number of factors. Both, however, offer tooth-colored smile restoration. A fixed bridge can offer greater security than a partial denture for those interested in a non-removable tooth replacement. Replacement teeth, called pontics, sit in a row to replace the missing teeth, and these pontics are held in place by crowns on either end of the row. A fixed bridge can also be anchored in place with dental implants.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Do you have multiple silver fillings that not only look unsightly, but feel sensitive to hot or cold foods and beverages? Silver fillings, especially when they’ve been in your teeth for a long time, can actually be more harmful than you’d expect. To prevent your teeth from breaking apart further and improve your smile’s overall appearance, we use tooth-colored fillings. Because these fillings are made of composite resin, you can resolve cavities while still maintaining a natural-looking smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Our dental office is completely mercury-free. If you have old, silver amalgam fillings that you wish to have replaced, Dr. Neslund and Dr. Benner will gladly use tooth-colored onlays to provide you with a more natural-looking and healthy smile. He'll remove the old filling, take an impression of your teeth to be sent to the dental lab, and have a porcelain onlay created just for you using an impression of your unique tooth. Once the restoration is ready, you come back to our dental office, where Dr. Neslund or Dr. Benner will place your onlay. Plus, he can create onlays in one visit using CEREC in-office technology.

Dentures & Partial Dentures
A denture involves replacement teeth set in a soft tissue-colored base. Both full and partial dentures are removable dental prosthetics, allowing for easy cleaning and making this option the most affordable as well as least invasive. A full denture is held in place by natural suction, although you might use denture adhesive to secure your prosthetic. Partial dentures are held in place by clips that grasp onto your remaining teeth.
Tissue Grafting
When significant cases of root exposure appear, which is common for those with advanced gum disease, gum and teeth sensitivity can become quite prevalent. At Carlisle Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, we can perform tissue grafting to restore your gum tissue and cover your roots. To complete this treatment, we’ll take a very small portion of tissue from your mouth, then place it on the exposed area for regeneration. It’s a relatively straightforward procedure usually completed in a single appointment.
